2017 LOT318 STREET SOCCER TOURNAMENT:

TOURNAMENT RULES/TERMS & CONDITIONS

More than $2000 in Cash and Prizes!*

By registering and participating in this tournament, you agree to be bound by the following rules/terms & conditions.

- All Players must be 15 years or older.

- Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

- Teams may consist of 5-8 player (All-Male or All-Female). No Co-Ed Teams.

- All players from each team must present a valid state-issued ID or passport (Collectively "documentation") for age and identification purposes. NO EXCEPTIONS. We reserve the right to request documentation of any player at any time during competition. Failure to show valid documentation may result in player and/or team removal from competition.  

- There are 2 tournament divisions.  All-Male teams will compete in the men's division.  All-Female teams will compete in the women's division.  Prizes for each division champion are outlined below.

 

REGISTRATION

Online Registration closes on Monday May 27th at 11:59pm.

- Registration fees are as follow:

- $25 Registration Fee Per Player (Online Only) (April 16th - April 30th)

- $30 Registration Fee Per Player (Online Only) (May 1st - May 27th)

- Walk-Ons are welcome on day of event (May 29th).

- Team Check-In opens at 7:00 am. Early arrival is suggested.  Teams that arrive after 9:45 am will not be allowed to compete.  Teams that show up late voluntarily withdraw from the tournament.  Registration fees will not be refunded to teams that show up late.

- All Registration fees are not refundable. All sales are final. No Refunds.

 

- Championship Prize:

  - Men's Champion:  $1,000 in cash and prizes!**

  - Women's Champion:  $1,000 in cash and prizes!***

TOURNAMENT RULES

- Games will be played at Cypress Street, Placentia on the street cul-de-sac.  Area will be split up into 3 tournament sized fields (Approximately 85 feet x 40 feet).

- "18 yard box" dimensions: 8 feet by 18 feet.

- "6 yard box" dimensions: 5 feet by 6 feet.

- Goal size is 4'x6'.

- Teams will be randomly split up into groups of three (4) teams in their respective divisions.  Actual group size may vary depending on the amount of teams competing.

- Each team is guaranteed three (3) games in the group stage.

- Each game will consist of two (2) 6 minute halves with a one (1) minute half-time.

 

TIES and PLAYER ATTIRE

- Tie-Breakers in the group stages will go according to FIFA rules:

  - - Points, Goal Differential, Goals in Favor, Head-to-Head, etc.

- Tie-Breakers in the playoff stages will go right into sudden-death penalty kicks.  This shootout is NOT like the penalty kick shootout specified in the Game Play/Restarts section below.  The ball shall be placed on the opposite penalty area.  The only player on the field shall be the kicker.  NO Goalkeeper is allowed.  All players of both teams not taking the kick shall stand by their respective bench and outside the playing field.

 

- Teams must wear a uniform color shirt, jersey, or other clearly identifying clothing.  No gang colors or clothes will be permitted.

 

- All players will be given a wristband at check-in that identifies them as registered players.  Wristbands must be worn at all times and cannot be traded to other persons.  Failure to comply will result in player and/or team's dismissal from the tournament.

 

GAME PLAY/RESTARTS

- Kick-In:  When the ball has entirely crossed the touch line or curb, the opposing team to that which last touched the ball is awarded a kick-in.  The ball shall be placed on the street where the ball exited the playing field and play resumes as an indirect free kick.

 

Goal Kick:  When the ball has entirely crossed the goal line without a goal having been scored and having last been touched by an attacker, the ball is awarded to the defending team.  The ball is thrown from any point within the penalty area by the goalkeeper of the defending team.  The ball is in play when it is thrown beyond the penalty area.

 

- Direct/Indirect Free Kicks:  Players of the opposite team awarded the ball must stand at least a yard away from the ball when a direct and indirect free kick restart is awarded.  Players defending cannot reach forward for the ball prior to the shot being taken.  Players that fail to abide by these rules are subject to a warning (yellow card) and potential ejection from the game (red card).

 

- Yellow and Red Cards:  Players who receive a yellow card must be substituted out for at least one (1) minute prior to returning to competition.  Players who receive a red card will be ejected from the game and their team will play a man down.

 

- Ejections:  Players who are ejected from the game will only be allowed to play the following game after meeting with referees and tournament officials and receiving permission.  Violence will not be tolerated.  Players who engage in acts of violence are subject to ejection from the tournament and possible arrest.

 

- No slide tackling is allowed.  All calls will be made under referees' discretion.

- All other FIFA Rules Apply.

Prize packages will be awarded to Men's and Women's champions.  Package value may vary and is based on the sum of cash and retail value of gear and other prizes included.  Winner of each division will be awarded respective prize package as outlined below.

- Prizes are non-transferrable and cannot be substituted for cash or other goods.

- Men's tournament division will consist of a minimum and maximum of 24 teams.  Women's tournament division will consist of a minimum of 8 teams.  Minimum amount of teams must be met for full prize to be awarded.  Prize money will be reduced to $600 for division that does not meet the minimum amount of teams.

 

MEALS

- All registered players will receive a voucher good for one (1) complimentary meal.  Meal tickets will be given to team during check-in.  Meal tickets are non-transferrable and will not be replaced if lost or stolen.

 

- LOT318 and EPD Futbol, or any of their staff, agents, employees, officers, directors, owners, managers, members, or assigns reserve the right to remove any person from competition at any time.

- Rules are subject to change without notice. LOT318 and EPD Futbol reserve the right to make any changes to these rules and any tournament guidelines, bylaws, and/or amendments at any time.
